If you are self conscious about your nose, surgery is not the only option available to you. Liquid rhinoplasty using dermal fillers is a treatment performed in our practice to give patients correction with results that can last up to 1 year. By using a hyaluronic acid based filler, we can reduce the hump, shape the nose, contour and smooth areas of the nose with just the use of filler. No surgery, no cutting.
Downtime:
Just like any filler, you may experience swelling and bruising related to a liquid rhinoplasty. You want to avoid any pressure on the areas treated as the product is malleable for up to 1 week. Be cautious when wearing glasses or sunglasses that sit on the bridge of the nose if that is an area of correction. You may ice the area gently for the first 24 hours to help reduce swelling.
Multiple treatments may be required to achieve your desired results. Upon completion of your first treatment, we ask to see you back 2-3 weeks after to assess the areas treated once swelling has subsided. At that time, a touch up may be done to complete your treatment. Patients are often seen every 9-12 months for touch ups to maintain their results.
As with any injectable treatment, there is always a risk and it is important to see a licensed professional and follow the pre and post care instructions to avoid any complications.
