Get youthful, glowing skin and eliminate stubborn skin issues with a VI Peel in Cupertino. The VI Peel is a gentle treatment that addresses a number of skin problems, such as dull skin texture, hyperpigmentation, and signs of aging. Learn more about how a VI Peel can improve your complexion.
What Is a VI Peel?
A VI Peel is a medium-to-deep chemical peel made up of different ingredients. The treatment penetrates deep into the epidermis and through to the dermis. This peel is gentle enough to be used on your face, even around tender areas like the eyelids. It can also be used in other parts of your body, such as the chest and hands.
The chemicals in the VI Peel break down the dead and damaged cells in the outer layer of your skin, thus exfoliating it. It stimulates the production of new proteins to activate your body’s natural healing process. This helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, sun spots, and chicken skin (keratosis pilaris).
Is a VI Peel Right for Me?
VI Peels are relatively safe and can be used on all skin types, so you may be an ideal candidate for this skin treatment. If you want to get rid of your acne scars, even out your skin pigmentation, or minimize pore size, this could be a good procedure for you. However, it may not be effective against deep wrinkles and skin sagging.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, this peel may not be recommended for you, because it contains salicylic acid and trichloroacetic acid (TCA).
During your consultation at Cupertino Facial Esthetics, a physical examination of your face will be performed. This will help our skin care expert formulate the best approach for you. Discuss your concerns and expectations to achieve the best results. You will be informed about the procedure and given aftercare instructions.
The VI Peel Procedure
A VI Peel usually takes only about 30 minutes. The first step of the VI Peel treatment is skin cleansing to remove dirt and oil. Then the VI Peel solution will be applied on the skin in multiple layers. A tingling sensation is usually experienced upon the first application. You will wash off the peel 4 to 6 hours later with water.
After your VI Peel treatment, there may be some downtime/recovery time needed. You may experience burning, redness, and dry skin. Avoid direct sun exposure to reduce skin discoloration.
Allow for 7 seven days of peeling after the treatment. Do not use creams or lotions to wash off the peeling skin. Applying moisturizer on your treated areas will help with faster healing.
How Much Does a VI Peel Cost?
The cost of a VI Peel may vary for each patient based on various factors. The total price will cover any post-treatment protectants given to you, and it may be affected by the number of treatment sessions.
